The Newport Distillery, Spirit of Wales, is hosting its second Christmas with delicious Welsh Gifts and festive experiences kicking off from the 9th of November 2022 to 17 December 2022.
Newport, South Wales, United Kingdom, 3 November 2022 – Spirit of Wales Distillery in Newport, South Wales are bringing the festive spirit for visitors during November and December 2022. These special festive experiences offer an array of options for visitors from around South Wales to taste the Newport distilleries’ commemorative Steeltown Gins and Vodkas or curiously Welsh Dragon’s Breath drinks.
Beth Hibbert, event manager for Spirit of Wales, commented, “We are extremely excited for our events to launch in the run up to Christmas. Whether you’re looking for a big evening out or relaxed craft with warm alcoholic tipples, we have a Christmas event which will suit all. I cannot wait to get into the festive spirit with all our customers!”
Visitors can choose between the distillery’s ever-popular tasting evening, this time with a game of festive music bingo, or put their skills to the test and create festive Welsh Christmas Crackers or attend a cocktail masterclass. During this time, Spirit of Wales will host their regular guided distillery tours and gin and rum school experiences every Wednesday to Saturday which are available as gift vouchers or can be booked via the website.
Christmas Music Bingo with Drinks
Using WSET (Wine Spirit Education Trust) methods, the Spirit of Wales Distillery presents its special edition Christmas music bingo and drinks every Friday from 7pm to 9pm. Tickets are limited and cost 22.50 per adult and can be booked directly through the distillery’s website.
Cracker Making Workshop
This is a fun activity where adults can get into the Christmas spirit and make Christmas Crackers filled with Steeltown and Dragon’s Breath 5cl spirits. The event begins with a warm rum punch, a brief guided tour with tasters in the distillery, and then the gift-making begins. Tickets for this experience are available from 22,50 per person on Wednesdays from 6pm.
Festive Cocktail Masterclass
Impress friends and family this festive season with newfound cocktail-making skills taught by the team at Spirit of Wales Distillery. Learn the basics of spirits and bar equipment before creating a cocktail or two. Book a ticket for a cocktail masterclass at 22.50 per person aged 18 years or older.
The Spirit of Wales Distillery year-end celebrations can host groups of up to 20 people , or guests can book tickets via the distillery’s website. To find out more about the distilleries’ offerings over November and December or to book for a group, get in touch with Beth from the events team.
