Spirit of Wales Distillery has been shortlisted for a Made in Wales Award for the second time. Hosted by Business Insider Wales, the prestigious awards are a celebration of great Welsh products and businesses.
Newport, South Wales, United Kingdom, 13 September 2023 – Insider Media has announced the shortlist for this year’s edition of the Made in Wales Awards. Celebrating great products, innovations, business success and ways of working for all manufacturers from across Wales. The team from Spirit of Wales Distillery are delighted to be shortlisted in the Food & Drinks Category, which strives to award those seen as most impressive by the judges.
The distillery has been shortlisted in the Food and Drink Category which is deemed by the judges as most impressive when considering innovation, commercial success and business development of Welsh made products. The category sponsored by Hunter includes some brilliant local producers from spirits, preserves and pet food.
Spirit of Wales, Newport’s first distillery was set up to capture true Welsh Spirit botted for the world to enjoy as Steeltown and Dragon’s Breath Drinks. Daniel Dyer founder of the distillery commented, “It’s been a privilege to be shortlisted for the Made in Wales awards once again. As a distillery manufacturing and creating products from scratch, I feel this is a great recognition of what we have achieved so far and gives us the motivation to push forward amidst the cost of living crises to still bring our customers drinks from Wales.”
