Local business in Newport, Spirit of Wales Distillery teams up with Deliveroo to provide spirit delivery of bottled Welsh-inspired distilled drinks, mixers, perfectly paired chocolates, or a ready-to-serve cocktail. Now customers can purchase from the Spirit of Wales directly from Deliveroo, who will deliver within an hour of purchase.
Newport, Wales, 2 February 2022 – Spirit of Wales Distillery today announced that it has formally launched an instant delivery service in partnership with Deliveroo.
The deal supports Spirit of Wales objectives of providing Newport distilled and manufactured spirits such as the award-winning Steeltown Dry Gin, the award-winning Dragon’s Breath Spiced Rum or the Steeltown Anthracite filtered Vodka to their customer base as quickly and easily as possible in either the small 5cl, the medium 20cl or the large 50cl.
This deal also includes the delivery of cocktails like a pre-mixed Expresso Martini Cocktail or a delectable pre-mixed Bramble. Also available are the distilleries, perfectly paired mixers, and chocolates for each Welsh spirit. The Steeltown Welsh Vodka with salted caramel or Dragon’s Breath Spiced Welsh Rum with Dark Chocolate, is highly recommended. The selection expands to a bevy of mixers you can buy as well, so there is plenty of choice on offer.
“Since opening in 2021, we have had many calls for an “instant” single bottle or cocktail deliveries from our customers,” said Daniel Dyer, CEO, Spirit of Wales Distillery. “Adding the innovative spirits delivery service of Deliveroo allows a customer to order our bottles of Spirits for consumption or gifting and then receive their order in as little as 40 minutes,” continues Dyer.
Following on from their launch in 2021 and five major international Spirit awards,2022 looks to be an exciting year for the team at Spirit of Wales in Newport, and beyond. As part of the agreement, Deliveroo’s drivers will deliver spirits & pre-mixed cocktails and mixers initially 11am-6pm Monday-Saturday.
Summing up the arrangement, Dyer added “It’s an exciting service to launch as we approach Spring, as the Deliveroo service expands, we’ll expand to 11 pm deliveries and by summer, we are looking to offer an at-home delivery until 3 am thanks to the recent changes in our premises license. I am also pleased to be adding services will result in additional headcount to our team as we continue our 2022 expansion of products and services.”
