Introducing Spirit of Wales Steeltown forged gin of Wales and our contemporary range of gins, vodkas, and rums that focus on the taste inspired by the industry and fruity florals from the region. We love gin as much as you do, which is why we create our premium Welsh gin using the finest botanicals and add no artificial flavours, sugars or colours.
The Spirit of Wales is inspired by the Welsh people and landscapes. We capture a piece of Wales in every one of our premium Spirits. Spirit of Wales Steeltown, the Forged Gin of Wales, is no different, commemorating the steelworkers and miners who spent their Summer holidays with their families on the Pembrokeshire Coast during Miner’s Fortnight.
Steeltown Dry Gin is a delicate mix of botanicals for the perfect gin and tonic. Inspired by Welsh summer holidays, and the flavours of lemonade, sorbet, and a stick of rock from a traditional seaside holiday. Along with the fresh sea breeze and ornamental floral gardens. Starting with sparky fresh lemon peel aromas that mellow into subtle floral tones from orris root and rosemary. Then look out for cardamom spice in the background with bold, resinous juniper. Sweet juniper, cassia bark, and orris root, plus juicy citrus notes, are present when adding tonic. Steeltown Forged Welsh Gin pairs perfectly with our Spirit of Wales White or Milk Chocolate.

We have space for a group of 20 people to create their signature Spirit of Wales Distillery Release Gin or Rum at our distillery in Newport.
Best of all! If friends and families enjoy your special spirit, we will keep all the recipes on file and can reproduce your forged Gin of Wales for you to enjoy again in the future.
An immersive experience for families (aged 18+), friends, and teams to create a unique gin invention using our beautiful individual copper pot stills. Book your still for one or two people at our distillery in South Wales.

During the tour, you will discover our speakeasy-inspired bar and visitor’s area. Reimagined from the perspective of the coal and steelworkers of times past, who spent their holidays in Pembrokeshire for Miner’s Fortnight.
The Spirit of Wales Distillery guided tour includes a tour of our bar area, distillery area, and spirits finishing area before we go back to the bar for a drink of your choice. Our distillery tasting events take place on the second Friday of every month, from 7 pm to 9 pm. Join us at Spirit of Wales Distillery in Newport, South Wales.
