A global celebration of gin, which is organised by Gin Monkey. World Gin Day takes place every June. The World Gin Day date moves around, but this year it’s on the 12th of June. We are excited to share our premium distilled Welsh gins with you this World Gin Day!
What is World Gin Day all about?
The goal of World Gin Day is to get gin lovers around the world to share a gin with the world. Celebrating all things gins, much like the #ginadaymaychallenge we took part in the last month with Gin a Ding Ding. The idea is to get as many people as possible to celebrate their favourite juniper led spirit. A day for everyone to enjoy, whether you have not had a gin since you stole it from your parents’ cabinet or if you are a self-proclaimed gin connoisseur. Will you be joining us to raise a glass to the brilliant spirit that is GIN?
Gin Monkey recommends trying it neat as part of a gin tasting, by making yourself a delicious gin cocktail at home, or if you prefer the classics, a gin and tonic. Follow #worldginday across social media channels to find out about gin events, tastings, cocktails, and all things gin during the next couple of days. Spread the gin love with us. Save 10% on all our Welsh gins from now until the end of June 2021. Use the coupon code GINDAY10 at the checkout!
We recommend our Spirit of Wales Distillery perfect pair for our range of Welsh flavour.
1. A classic pairing to try this World Gin Day!
Spirit of Wales limited Distillery Release Dry Welsh Gin with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water. We like to garnish ours the Welsh way with a slice of citrus and black peppercorns. Spirit of Wales Distillery Release Welsh Dry Gin is contemporary with sweet characteristics. Our first dry Welsh Gin features bold tastes of juniper, cassia bark and orris root on the palette. Filled with lemon sweetness and combined with subtle violet-like tones from orris root and rosemary, with lingering cardamom spice notes.
Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water is made by blending essential oils from herbs gathered from around the Mediterranean shores. With the highest-quality quinine from the ‘fever trees’ of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, creating delicate, floral tonic water flavours. This Welsh gin packs fresh bursts of lemonade, pink grapefruit, or marmalade, with a hint of fresh menthol and cardamom for a lasting finish when combined with tonic. #mixwiththebest
