Spirit of Wales Welsh Rum Deal

Each of our Welsh rums won a silver medal at the Spirits Business, Rum Masters, in March 2022. We think it’s the perfect reason to buy both in time for summer cocktails. Get two 50cl bottles of our Welsh Rums, including our commemorative and lush Steeltown White Rum and Dragon’s Breath curiously spiced rum.

Steeltown Welsh Rum – 43% ABV

Contemporary white rum made at our Newport Distillery in South Wales. A molasses-based White Welsh Rum with Crisp notes of fresh-cut grass intermingled with deep aromas of toffee, soft baking spices, and oak. Inspired by the steel and coal workers of South Wales, a tip of the hat to the Welsh fishing industry that still feeds our nation today. Look out for the sticky sweet toffee pudding from the onset, followed by vanilla custard and a cascade of complex vegetal elements and bold molasses tones. Rich laced notes of cloves and oak mouth-filling velvety finish.

Dragon’s Breath Spiced Rum – 45% ABV

Curiously spiced Welsh rum with a hint of fire from the Dragon and spices from the bakers of Wales. Breathe in the aroma of vanilla and cinnamon; on the backdrop of sticky caramel and cloves with the spiced rum of Wales. Next, taste a light, fruity start, followed by warming  clove spice and woody cinnamon. A beautifully light and spicy sip. Enjoy it on its own or add spice to your favourite cocktail.
