ENTERTAINMENT - Ioan Gruffudd
Ioan is a Hollywood star who has starred in many blockbusters including 102 Dalmations, Titanic, The Fantastic Four, Black Hawk Down, Amazing Grace, and the BBC series “Hornblower” between 1998-2003.
Ioan Gruffudd was born in October 1973 in Llwydcoed, Aberdare and after a few years the family moved to Cardiff. From 1987 to 1994 he acted in the Welsh-language soap opera Pobl y Cwm, but left at the age of 18 to enrol at Rada to formally train as an actor.
Although Ioan now lives in Los Angeles with his wife, fellow actress Alice Evans and his baby daughter, he retains his Welsh roots and is a keen supporter of Welsh rugby, and in particular the Cardiff Blues.
